Beginning of Zoo Season

We packed up and headed for the zoo on Thursday with friends, Sarah, Hailey and Alden.
Braden and Kelan enjoyed running and rolling the ramps at the new Giraffe exhibit.
It's beautiful! Happy giraffe's now in California.

Our little budding boy, Kelan, is in a constant state of motion.
He's practicing his walking skills everyday.

Together Again

Adrienne and her boys are off-track this month, so Cindy and I took advantage of the opportunity and brought our broods over to play the afternoon away- just like old times. The kids entertained each other; the mommies entertained each other.

Giant Steps Are What You Take

Kelan took his first independent steps yesterday afternoon in front of an attentive audience. Dear friends, Cindy and Adrienne, were there to witness the big moment. I was sitting on the floor, holding Kelan by the fingers; I let go and off he went- four big steps. He received huge applause from everyone and had an equally huge smile of accomplishment on his face. He was so pleased, that he did it again moments later.

I haven't been able to capture him walking by himself yet, but this video captures him practicing using his push truck- another first time feat.

At Pyramid Park

We love this park, one of the newest in our town, because it's inspired by great monuments of the world. There's the Great Pyramid at Giza in the middle of the "desert", as well as a sarcophagus buried beneath the sand. I love this park because it's gated, allowing Braden the freedom to run around safely while Kelan crawls on the rubberized ground. Everyone is happy and accounted for.

Spring is Coming

Thanks to the beautiful spring-like weather this February, the boys and I have finally been able to get outside and run off some pent up energy; much to this mommy's relief!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Danny!

We sang, we cheered, we cried, we laughed, we celebrated! Our good buddy, Danny, turned three on Saturday. Braden and I played the morning away with our friends, Adrienne and Carson. We socialized with friends, old and new. Great party, Cindy!
